Lynn Burry

Lynn began her career at NTV in 1983. At the age of twenty she became the legislative reporter and continued to cover the House of Assembly for fifteen years. In 1993 Lynn became the co-anchor of the NTV Evening Newshour which is a position she still holds.

Over the years Lynn has interviewed every major political figure in the province and has covered stories ranging from the collapse of the Northern Cod Fishery to the civil service strikes to education reform. Her main interest is in the political arena. During the past five general provincial elections Lynn has been selected to be a panellist in the leaders’ debates. She has probably participated in more debates than any other journalist in the province. Lynn anchored NTV’s coverage of Election 2003, the station’s highest rated election special ever.
Lynn hosts two primetime specials each year on NTV, and she also hosts and produces the NTV current affairs show, Issues and Answers.

Lynn has been a part of NTV’s political coverage of special events for nearly two decades, co-hosting numerous leadership conventions over the years.
